Florida Tech Botanical Fest Set for Saturday, March 5

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology’s annual celebration of flowers, plants and botanical bounty returns to campus Saturday, March 5.

The 11th annual Botanical Fest will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Crawford Green, behind the Crawford Tower building along University Avenue.

The event will showcase over 40 plant and garden vendors offering trees and plants, decorative items and more. There will also be free, guided tours of the university’s Botanical Gardens every hour. Master gardeners will be available throughout the day to answer gardening questions.

A variety of food and drink will be available for purchase.

Powered by more than 100 volunteers from Florida Tech and the Brevard community, Botanical Fest is also made possible by event sponsors Valkaria Gardens Center, Four C’s Nursery, Hopkins Nursery, McCrory’s Sunny Hill Nursery, Simply Organic Mulch & Soils, MB Palms, Florida Today, Hometown News, 98.5 The Beach and WFIT 89.5.

Funds generated from Botanical Fest support the university’s Botanical Garden.
