Florida Tech Center Hires Government Contract Trainer

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Florida Tech National Center for Small Business Information (NCSBI) has hired Michael Wilson as a government contract trainer. Wilson
most recently was a U.S. Air Force program manager and also teaches evening classes at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for government logistics
programs.
He is certified as a contracting officer by the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and a retired U.S. Air Force
officer with more than 24 years of government experience at several U.S. Air Force and joint military agencies. These include the Office of Defense
Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Rome, Italy, U.S.A.F. Air Mobility Command Contracting Flight and Air Transportation Division. Most recently, he was
responsible for a $2 billion foreign military sales program for modernizing the Italian Ministry of Defense with U.S. Department of Defense products and
services.
Wilson’s organization affiliations include the Brevard Economic Development Commission, Space Coast Defense Alliance Committee and Military Affairs
Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., and a master’s degree in management from Troy
University in Alabama.
“Mike brings a wealth of experience to the center’s government contracting training offerings,” said Christopher Durie, NCSBI business relations
specialist.
The National Center for Small Business Information is a training and resource center designed to meet the needs of small businesses and individuals by
offering instruction and leadership in government contracting, professional enrichment and networking. The NCSBI is funded by the U.S. Department of
Labor.
