Florida Tech, Chamber Meet Need for Leadership Skills

Supervisors aren’t born, they’re made. To become a good one takes development and training.

To meet this need, Florida Tech’s University College is teaming with the Melbourne/Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce to present a two-day, hands-on workshop
titled “Developing the Keys to Organizational Success,” on July 24 and 25, in the Hartley Room, Denius Student Center. This program is designed for
individuals that are preparing for the next level of leadership in their career.

Sessions include active contribution and are led by Florida Tech faculty. The workshop program will include eight sessions: Leaders – Are they made or
born?; Understanding your management style and the style of others; Understanding the multiple roles of management; The manager’s role in the budget
process; Scheduling- Planning- Time Management; Leadership- Delegation-Motivation; Building an effective team; and Now that I know it– How do I implement
it?
