Florida Tech, Chamber Offer Leadership Training

MELBOURNE, FLA. — To become a successful business leader takes development and training. To meet this need, Florida Tech Consulting, a division of University
College, has joined with the Melbourne-Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce to present a six-session workshop, titled, “Preparing Leaders for Organizational
Success.”
The program begins Feb. 16 and meets every other Friday until April 27, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. All sessions will be held in the chamber auditorium.
The series is designed for individuals preparing for the next level of leadership in their career. The program will help managers successfully grow into
new roles and responsibilities to more effectively and confidently direct and manage workflow and team processes. Topics include understanding your
management style, building an effective team, the manager’s role in the budget process and building trust through leadership, delegation and
motivation.
Sessions, led by Florida Tech faculty, will include active student participation. Course graduates will receive a Florida Institute of Technology
certificate of completion. Those interested may also earn continuing education units.
