Eleven Awarded Snowdon Fellowships at Florida Tech

– Eleven Florida Tech graduate students were awarded Edward W. and Lee Snowdon Fellowships for the Spring 2005 semester.

The students, working on degrees in the Department of Marine and Environmental Studies (DMES), were: Matthew Alkire, Florian Brehin, Corey Calvert, Elesha
Goodfriend, Robert Gorecki, Morgan LeLay, Aurelie Moulin, Nancy Sloan, Rebecca Williams, Deb Woodall, and Jaime Zsiros.

The Snowdon Fellowships are funded by a gift of the Edward W. Snowdon and Lee Hill Snowdon Administrative Fund, and the Community Foundation for Palm Beach
and Martin Counties; they are matched by the F.W. Olin Foundation of New York. The fellowships, arranged by Erik Edward Joh, Esq., are offered to deserving
DMES graduate students, in perpetuity.

The Department of Marine and Environmental Systems integrates the expertise and skills of scientists,
engineers, and resource managers. DMES offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in oceanography, environmental science, ocean engineering and meteorology.
