Florida Tech Digital Arts & Design Course Open to Community

MELBOURNE, FLA. — This fall, Florida Institute of Technology offers the new course, Digital Arts & Design, a special topic in computer science. The
course, which meets Thursdays at 1 p.m. for 2 ½ hours, begins Aug. 21. There are no prerequisites.

A survey course in 3D digital media production, Digital Arts & Design introduces Autodesk’s Maya animation software. It will cover the basics of
digital imaging, rendering, compositing, movie editing and digital audio. The instructor is Francis X. McAfee, M.F.A. in computer art.

The course is available to the community on an audit basis and costs $735.
