Florida Tech Earns National Recognition for Retirement Plan
MELBOURNE, FLA.—PLANSPONSOR, the nation’s leading retirement plan resource, recently recognized Florida Institute of Technology as a 2011 finalist in the annual Plan Sponsor of the Year awards. Florida Tech was the only institution of higher education honored in the non-profic/403(b) category.
Annually, the editors of PLANSPONSOR magazine identify individuals or institutions/employers that demonstrate leadership in providing a more secure retirement for workers. Strong investment performance, rigorous corporate governance and an enduring commitment to participant education are the hallmarks of distinction of PLANSPONSOR’S Plan Sponsor of the Year awards.
“The Florida Tech culture emphasizes “high tech with a human touch” and my staff infuses that philosophy into the university’s retirement plan initiative,” said Joni Oglesby, Florida Tech vice president for support services.
Florida Tech Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jack Armul concurred. “Our staff, led by our Human Resources Department, has worked diligently to ensure that Florida Tech faculty and staff members have the information they need to make appropriate personal decisions concerning their futures. We back this up by offering a secure retirement plan to meet their needs.”
