Florida Tech Extends Invitation to Celebration Dinner, Amazing Kreskin

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Amazing Kreskin will entertain guests at Florida Tech’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Clemente
Center. Part of the university’s Homecoming festivities, the dinner, is open to the public.

The evening begins with a cocktail party at 5:30 p.m. Florida Tech President Anthony J. Catanese will introduce guests with special historical ties to the
university. These include former Florida Tech President Lynn Weaver, several professors emeriti, Founding President Jerry Keuper’s daughter, Melanie
Keuper, and Florida State Representative Thad Altman. He will present the university with an anniversary proclamation.
Artist Derek Gores, who executed the university’s commissioned 50th anniversary artwork, will be on hand to embellish and autograph his work and offer it
for sale.

After champagne toasts and dinner, Dr. Catanese will speak, followed by Florida Tech’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees Phillip W. Farmer.
Later, renowned mentalist The Amazing Kreskin will stage one of his uncanny performances. His acts are known to thrill and baffle the crowd by revealing
the thoughts of audience members.

For a musical treat, Dr. Catanese, on drums, will lead his band, TWITCHY, in several of the group’s specialty pieces.
