– Dr. Ryan Stansifer, Florida Tech associate professor of computer science, was honored recently with the Coach’s Award at the Association for Computing
Machinery’s International Collegiate Programming Contest.
Stansifer was chosen from among the advisers of 70 teams who competed at the event in Beverly Hills. The award is for continuing successful coaching of
student teams that advance to the world finals. Each year just one adviser from around the world is honored. Stansifer has taken a team to the world
competition four times in eight years. The Florida Tech team earned an honorable mention this year.
Florida Tech offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in computer science, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information systems and bachelor’s
degrees in software development.
