Florida Tech Falls 3-0 To Top Ranked #3 Tampa

TAMPA, Fla.- Florida Tech (9-21, 4-9) battled the #3 nationally ranked University of Tampa (23-3, 11-1) in a Sunshine State Conference match and fell in
three games, but not without making the Spartans work for their win. Despite the low first game score of 30-15, the Panthers pushed Tampa to a 33-31 second
set and fell 30-18 in the final set.

Senior outside hitter Jenny Hart (Clermont, Florida) led the Panthers hitting .304 for the night with her team high nine kills and 14 digs. Senior middle
hitter Kelly Currin (Waynesville, Ohio) added seven kills and two blocks. Junior libero Megan Konopnicki (Plano, Texas) chipped in eleven digs.

Ericka Womack led the Tampa offense with 15 kills and three blocks. Stephanie Rivera added 14 kills as Katelen Dixon had 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs.
Gabriela Saade led the Spartans with 44 assists.

The Panthers will travel south to play Lynn on Tuesday, November 8th at 7:00 p.m. for the final week of conference play.
