– Dr. Philip D. Farber, Florida Tech professor in the School of Psychology, has earned a contract to provide services to the primarily Hispanic, farm
worker community of Fellsmere. He was awarded a Fellsmere Medical Center Behavioral Health contract of over $50,000.
Under the contract, Farber will provide bilingual behavioral health services to the center’s patients. These include psychological evaluations, individual
psychotherapy, and marital, couples and family psychotherapy. Doctoral-level Students in Florida Tech’s accredited Psy.D. Clinical Psychology program will
assist Farber, who will serve as the center’s director of Behavioral Health Services.
Fellsmere Medical Center is a federally qualified health center specializing in primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, general and family practice
and dental services to a largely rural migrant worker population.
Florida Tech offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology. The university’s doctor of psychology program in clinical psychology is fully
accredited by the American Psychological Association.
