Florida Tech Giving Teachers a New Master’s Degree Option

– A new Master of Arts in Teaching Degree and accompanying professional certification program will give Florida’s teachers a new opportunity to enhance
their careers.

Although Florida Tech’s Math and Science Education Department will administer the degree, it will be available to teachers in every discipline. The program
requires 32 semester hours of course work as well as either a concurrent part- or full-time teaching position or the completion of field experience
courses. Students are expected to pass the Professional Education Florida Teacher Certification Examination upon completion of the program.

Program coursework will include instruction in multicultural education, classroom management, and measurement and evaluation.
