MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Extended Studies Department, Huntsville, Ala., site, will offer the new Doctor of Business Administration degree, starting in fall 2014. The degree program will prepare future business leaders with enhanced skills in general management principles through extensive case study analysis. Students will gain competencies in oral and written communications, critical thinking, entrepreneurship and strategic management.
Participants will meet in a three-year cohort program four times a semester, Friday and Saturday, for two days until the final year when they will complete a dissertation. The applied research dissertation will be based on original qualitative or quantitative research methods, which can contribute to the body of literature and enhance academic career prospects.
