Florida Tech Invites Community to Lifelong Scholar Lectures Nov. 5 and 19

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology presents the last two lectures in the fall Lifelong Scholar Society series in November. The lectures are open to the public and will be held at the Harris Community Auditorium in downtown Eau Gallie. Each hour-long lecture will be followed by a 30-minute discussion segment.

Jamie Younkin, music program chair, will present “Distinguishing the Various Styles of Jazz” Nov. 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Michael Grace, associate dean of the College of Science, will present “Extreme Vision in a Blue World” Nov. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Admission costs $20 per lecture, or $15 with coupon code FALL05. Tickets include a slice of freshly baked pie from Joan’s Perfect Pies located in downtown Eau Gallie; refreshments will be served during the discussion segment.
