Florida Tech Men Ranked 26th in NABC Poll

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – For the first time in recent history, Florida Tech’s men’s
basketball team has cracked into the national polls. By virtue of their 13 votes, the Panthers are listed as 26th in the country according the
National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Division II poll released this week.   With an impressive 8-0 start under their belts, the Panthers don’t
play again until Dec. 18 due to final exams, but for now are one of only two teams in the Sunshine State Conference to represent the league in the national
poll. Rollins recently moved up to fourth overall.   Tech also sports a 1-0 conference mark to top the SSC standings. This is the program’s best
overall start since going 7-1 in the first eight games of the 1997-98 season and the first time since the 1998-99 season the team has tipped off conference
play with a victory.   Florida Tech is led by senior E.J. Murray with nearly 18 points and three rebounds per game, as well as
two-time SSC Player of the Week Justin Sedlak who’s averaging a double-double with 17.8 points and 11.1 boards per contest.
