Florida Tech to Hold National Global Warming Teach-in on Feb. 5

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Keeping attention on the critical issue of global climate change in the first 100 days of the new administration, Florida Institute of
Technology will hold a National Teach-in on Global Warming on Feb. 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on campus. The event, to be held in the F.W. Olin Life Sciences
Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

The program will feature three of Florida Tech’s internationally noted Department of Biological Sciences faculty members. Mark Bush, Ph.D., will discuss
“Conservation of Tropical Biodiversity;” Robert Van Woesik, Ph.D., will discuss “Coral Reefs: Climate-Change Rumblings in Paradise;” and Rich Aronson,
Ph.D., department head, will present “Climate Change in Antarctica.” Tristan Fiedler, Ph.D., will lead a panel discussion.
