Florida Tech Offers New Psychology Doctoral Program, Earns Accreditation

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology announces a new offering, the Ph.D. degree in behavior analysis (ABA). The program,
with three students already enrolled, begins this fall. Applied behavior analysis takes what we know about behavior and uses it to bring about positive
change.

The school also starts the new academic year with full accreditation in existing master’s programs in ABA, organizational behavior management (OBM) and
combined ABA/OBM. Accreditation is by the Association for Behavior Analysis International. For several years these programs have met certification
requirements by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.

The Behavior Analysis Program is directed by Jose Martinez-Diaz, board-certified behavior analyst. He said, “The doctoral program is one of only seven such
programs in the entire country. We are very pleased to offer it through Florida Tech.”

Martinez-Diaz founded the graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida Tech and replicated it at the university’s Orlando extended studies
site.
