Florida Tech Offers Splashy Summer Camps

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Among several camps offered by Florida Institute of Technology this summer are two that promise watery cool downs for hot days. They are
the All Sports & Water Camp and Snorkeling Camp.
The All Sports & Water Camp, for ages 6-16, focuses on a variety of court and field sports as well as swimming and inner tube water polo. Sessions are
June 4-8; and June 25-29. Snorkeling Camp, for ages 6-13, is a lead-in to scuba diving, taught in a safe, educational and fun environment. Sessions are
June 11-15, June 25-29 and July 9-13.
Two tennis camps will meet the needs of children and adults. A tennis camp for ages 7-17 meets in three three-day sessions, from 8:30 a.m.-noon, and in
three three-evening sessions, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Another tennis camp, for ages eight and older, and for adults, meets in sessions of multi-week length,
starting in August.
Rowing is also offered to meet multigenerational needs. High School Rowing Camp for ages 14-19, meets July 23-27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Adult Summer
Rowing Camp meets the same dates and times.
Basketball players have a range of options. Billy Mims’ Basketball Camp for boys aged 6-17, starts June 18 and runs through July 20. John Reynolds’
Basketball Camp for girls aged 6-17 runs June 11-15. Also for basketball, the Billy Mims Team Camp for boys aged 13-17 will be held July 5-8.
Softball Camp is for girls, aged 6-17 and meets May 29-June 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Baseball Camp, for boys, aged 6-13, meets in two sessions, June 11-14 and July 23-26.
Soccer Camp for boys and girls, aged 5-16 meets in two sessions, June 4-8 and July 23-27.
Volleyball Camp for girls, aged 10-18, meets in July and August, from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m.
