Florida Tech Offers Summer Scuba Camp

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology Professional Enrichment Programs (PEP) is offering a youth Scuba Diving Camp for ages
10 and up the week of July 13-17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Classes will take place in a Florida Tech classroom and pool. The cost, which includes open water
certification, is $380.

Students must provide a mask, snorkel, fins, dive bag, weight belt and weights. The gear may be purchased at a 10 percent discount when signing up for the
course. Participants should also bring a bag lunch and afternoon snack, as well as sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and dry clothes.
Open Water Certification dives are planned for Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19 in West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach, Fla. Although transportation is
not provided, instructors can help to arrange carpooling.

This program is provided in collaboration with the JND Scuba Center and Florida Tech’s Office of Strategic Initiatives PEP. Students trained through JND
Scuba will earn a Lifetime PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) open water diver certificate and will be eligible for a free refresher
course.
