Free Federal Contracting Conference Set for Aug. 5-6 at Florida Tech

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Congressman Bill Posey will host a free Federal Contracting Conference at the Florida Institute of Technology’s Denius Center Aug. 5 and 6. Networking and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. The event provides an opportunity for government contractors to have one-on-one meetings with procurement representatives from Washington, D.C., and Central Florida to explore new contracting opportunities. Local businesses that specialize in technology, innovation, defense contracting and services will also learn how to navigate the federal procurement process. “Many of our local businesses specialize in technology, innovation and services that apply to meeting the needs of federal agencies,” said Posey. “Learning how to navigate the federal procurement process and accessing decision makers within federal agencies will help Space Coast businesses and workers compete.” The event is coordinated through the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, the Small Business Administration, Space Florida, Brevard Workforce, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College and SCORE. The conference is free. RSVP by July 30 at http://posey.house.gov/RSVP.
