Florida Tech Presents Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Community Psychological Services (CPS) of Florida Institute of Technology presents workshops on a variety of topics. Ongoing is a Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group for adults who attend individual therapy for the diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. The group meets Wednesdays, from 5 to 7 p.m. Participants may join at any time.

The group sessions will cover dialectical behavior therapy skills, including core mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance. This is meant to supplement, not replace, individual treatment of borderline personality disorder.

Two clinical psychology pre-doctoral clinicians, supervised by Barbara M. Paulillo, Psy.D., are facilitating the group.
