Florida Tech Promotional Efforts Score 13 Awards

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Efforts to promote Florida Institute of Technology programs, in media from print to radio, have recently won local and national honors totaling 13 separate recognitions. Honors included:

American Advertising Federation-Space Coast (Local)—Creative Services, working collaboratively with University Marketing, Enrollment Management and the Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts, earned Silver “Addy” publication honors for the Admissions Viewbook, Apollo Anniversary Ad, Math Teachers’ Public Service Announcement Poster and printed materials for the Uncommon Threads event. Also, WFIT was honored for partnering with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra on a Music Minute PSA series.

CASE District III 2009 Advancement Awards (Southeastern United States)—WFIT was honored with a Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Grand Award for public affairs programming that profiled the Daily Bread in Melbourne. The university earned three Special Merit Awards—for the recently concluded Golden Anniversary Campaign; Panther Podcasts; and the 2009 Sporting Affair/Chopper Dropper. Offices recognized for these honors include the President’s Office, Development, University Communications, Athletic Communications, WFIT, Athletic Partnerships, University Marketing and Creative Services.

Higher Education Marketing Report’s 25th Annual Educational Advertising Awards (National)—Gold Award for Magazine Series – Florida Trend Covers; Silver Award for Poster – Math Poster; Bronze Award for Newspaper Single Ad – Apollo 11; and Merit Award for Search Pieces – Brochure. Creative Services, University Marketing and Enrollment Management were recognized.
