Florida Tech’s Lifelong Scholar Society Presents Dark Side of Human Nature During WWII

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Join Florida Tech’s Osita Onyejekwe, a current Ph.D. student, as he sheds light on the foundations of World War II on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. This is a Lifelong Scholar Society lecture.

He will analyze factors such as World War I and the German quest for identity and justice as well as Adolf Hitler’s campaign of destruction. Most importantly, the talk will look into Jewish history, Hitler’s “final solution” and the engineering behind the Auschwitz and Treblinka concentration and extermination camps. The presentation will also briefly explore the Soviet invasion and persecution, and the lessons that should not be forgotten so that history does not repeat itself. There will be a 30-minute Q & A discussion segment.

The lecture will be held at the Knowledge Exchange, located at 5151 S. Babcock St. in Palm Bay.

Tickets for each lecture are $20 or $10 with a Lifelong Scholar Society Membership. The Lifelong Scholar Society is now offering a yearly membership for $35, which includes half-price tickets to lectures, three dinners at Panther Dining, and a custom name tag. Tickets include a slice of freshly baked pie at each lecture from Joan’s Perfect Pies located in downtown Eau Gallie.
