Lend Me a Tenor Comes to Florida Tech March 29, 30, 31 & April 5, 6, 7

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The spring production of Florida Institute of Technology’s College Players is Lend Me a Tenor, by Ken Ludwig. The play will run at the Gleason Performing Arts Center on campus on March 29, 30, 31 and April 5, 6 and 7.

The comedy, a mix of farcicial plot twists, double entendres and innuendoes, was first produced in London’s West End in 1986. Its plot centers on renowned tenor Tito Merelli, scheduled to sing the lead in Othello for the Cleveland Opera Company in 1934. The play received seven Tony Award nominations when it was produced in New York in 1989 and has since been translated into 16 languages and produced in 25 countries.

Shows for all performances start at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7:30 p.m. The cost for the show is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 55 and over and the military; free to Florida Tech students with ID.
