Florida Tech to Hold Second Annual Digital Media Showcase

– See videos, animations, slide shows, Web-base presentations, graphics and more at Florida Tech’s Second Annual Digital Media Showcase. It will be held
Friday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Evans Library, second floor Applied Computing Center. The center, Academic Computing Services, Digital Domain and
Apple Computer are hosting the event, which displays media submitted by faculty, students, staff and departments.

“Our focus is on how technology has changed teaching, learning and reporting in the 21st Century,” said Dee Dee Pannell, manager of Academic Computing.
During the show, the Applied Computing Center will feature 28 workstations dedicated to media presentations, and display information on the parties who
created the media. Guests may tour the workstations and watch presentations (headphones provided for audio).

Join Apple for a MacWorld San Francisco 2005 Recap. Come learn about updates on the latest hardware and software. Representatives from Apple will be here
to discuss the new products and answer your questions.

Presentation Schedule: 11 a.m.-noon Come see the newest products from Apple. This session will focus on recent announcements at the annual MacWorld show in
San Francisco. Topics will include the latest version of Apple’s popular iLife suite of digital media applications, the iWork productivity suite, Apple’s
newest iPod, and the brand new $499 Mac mini.

Noon to 1 p.m. Lunch and Q & A

1 to 2 p.m. OS X server: Come hear about Apple’s UNIX-based enterprise-class server and how easy it is to integrate in a heterogeneous environment. This
session will discuss the current OS X 10.3 server product and the latest 1U-rackmount G5 Xserve product to run it on. Also: Take a look at the new features
of Apple’s upcoming 64-bit server platform, “Tiger.” 2 to 3 p.m.
