Florida Tech United Way Campaign Surpasses Goal

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s United Way campaign has surpassed its $40,000 goal. “Florida Tech has really stepped up this year,” Florida Tech President
Anthony J. Catanese said. This year’s contribution of $43,630 is up about $10,000 more than what was raised during the same period last year. Participation
is up 10 percent over last year.
“It’s been an exciting time for United Way of Brevard in 2006 as we’ve reached for a $6 million goal,” said Catanese. “It’s been an honor to serve as the
chair of the campaign, and I’m extremely pleased at the success we’ve enjoyed on campus. I’d like to especially thank Professor Tim Hollingsworth for his
able leadership of the campus campaign, and thanks again to everyone who gave. Because of your help, the United Way will continue to work for all of
us.”
Donations can still be made at the university, to Norman Benefield, Office of Human Resources, through Dec. 6.
