Florida Tech’s Foosaner Art Museum Presents Cosmic Jazz Ensemble June 5

Group Led by Winston Scott Performs During Art Walk

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum will host an evening of art viewing and live music from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 5. The free event will be held in conjunction with the Eau Gallie Art District’s First Friday Art Walk.

Museum admission is free.

Guests of the museum will be invited to examine its current exhibit, Pop Art in America, as well as listen to the stellar sounds of the Cosmic Jazz Ensemble. The group is led by Capt. Winston Scott, an accomplished trumpeter – and shuttle astronaut – who serves as Florida Tech’s senior vice president of external relations and economic development.

On the first Friday of every month, except July, EGAD hosts its themed evening strolls along Highland Avenue with live entertainment in the Eau Gallie Rotary Band Shell. Galleries, shops, boutiques, museums and restaurants all remain open late and there are usually food and beverage trucks.
