Florida Tech’s Lean Six Sigma Course Teaches Business Owners How to Tighten Their Belts Dec. 2-5

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Continuing Education Department is
offering a Six Sigma Green Belt Training Exam Prep Dec. 2-5 at Florida Tech’s Orlando campus. This course, with Lean principles, is a process-improvement methodology that combines the benefits of both Lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma to help companies streamline operations, increase value and reduce waste.

The course, offered through a partnership with CAS Adaptive Solutions Inc., provides a comprehensive overview of Six Sigma concepts and tools, and prepares students for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma Green Belt exam. The training provides an in-depth review of the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook. This is useful for those preparing to take the exam or who are interested in learning more about Six Sigma concepts and processes to improve their organization’s performance.

Topics covered include the five areas of the Green Belt Body of Knowledge combined with Lean principles; Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The course also includes project implementation methodology, process and data analysis, and hypothesis testing.

This course includes the ASQ Green Belt Handbook, CAS Adaptive Student Binder, Six Sigma Green Belt Exam Success Sheet, and everything needed to successfully prepare and pass the certification examination.
