U.S. News: Florida Tech Tops for International Students

New Rankings Highlight
Value of a Diverse Campus

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology remains home to the most internationally diverse student body among hundreds of U.S. universities surveyed in the latest ranking from U.S. News & World Report.

The ranking in the magazine’s newest U.S. News Short List released this month marks the third straight year Florida Tech received recognition for its globally representative student body.

With a third of undergraduates in the 2015-16 academic year hailing from countries large and small around the world, all Florida Tech students have the opportunity for deeper cultural experiences, the magazine noted.

“We take pride in preparing our students for a lifetime of success, and providing this international perspective is a powerful tool,” said Florida Tech President Dwayne McCay. “Florida Tech is a diverse university producing global citizens, and we are honored that our standing as such is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report.”

Florida Tech and other schools in the list were in the top 200 of the magazine’s overall rankings. Each was surveyed for the Short List ranking, which also included New School in New York, Carnegie Mellon University and Boston University.
