Foosaner Art Museum Hosts Dan Wilborn Quartet On Jazz Friday, Sept. 16
MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum will host the Dan Wilborn Quartet on Sept. 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m., as part of Jazz Friday. Wilborn will be on saxophone as he and his band perform in the art galleries. The event will also include raffle and door prizes.
Sponsored in part by WFIT 89.5 FM and AT&T Real Yellow Pages, Jazz Fridays occur on every third Friday of the month. The cost for general admission is $10; Florida Tech faculty, students and museum members are free, with ID.
The Brevard Art Museum was renamed the Foosaner Art Museum after a $1 million gift from the Foosaner Foundation. This summer, the museum formally merged with Florida Tech.
Museum hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free on Thursdays. Currently on view at the museum until Oct. 9 is Building Books: The Art of David Macaulay.
