Foosaner Art Museum to Offer Weekly Family Programming
Children up to Age 5 Are Welcome
MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s Foosaner Art Museum will launch new weekly morning and afternoon family programming starting Aug. 29.
After a successful Summer Art Camp and upon gathering feedback from the community, the museum will launch two year-round programs to serve children up to age 5 and their caregivers.
- Stroller Tours + Open Studio Hour will take place from 9:30-11 a.m. on Wednesdays starting Aug. 29. The program includes a tour of the galleries before the museum opens to the public and an hour to work freely on art activities at the nearby Renee Foosaner Education Center. Materials are provided and a staff member will be present to help with questions. Cost is $5 per person and includes a 20 percent discount at Anaya Coffee in the Eau Gallie Arts District.
- From 3:30-5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays starting Aug. 29, the Open Studio after-school program invites families to experience art in a free-spirited way. Participants will use the materials available at the Renee Foosaner Education Center’s art studio to work at their own pace on art inspired by the pieces on display at the galleries. A staff member will be present. Cost is $20 for member families of up to four people or $25 for non-member families, and $5 per extra adult or $3 per child 12 years old and younger.
An adult must accompany any child enrolled in the morning or afternoon programs.
Both programs require registration available through the Foosaner Art Museum’s webpage at https://foosanerartmuseum.org/children-art-classes/.
