Fort Lee Extended Studies Site Adds New Master’s Degree

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Va., will offer a master’s of science in management (M.S.M.) degree with a
concentration in transportation management. The degree program, through the university’s Extended Studies Division, starts in the spring semester,
beginning January 2007.
The M.S.M. in transportation is a 33-credit program covering all aspects of managing transportation resources in public or commercial organizations. The
curriculum is designed for students who bring international perspectives and professional expertise to the classroom. Building on Florida Tech’s success as
a university that is known for excellence in technology and the sciences, entrepreneurship at all levels is encouraged.
Florida Tech’s Extended Studies Division offers in-residence classes at 10 sites located in five states. These include the Virtual Campus, which offers
master’s degrees and graduate certificates online. Degree programs are tailored to meet the educational needs of individuals employed in business and
industry, active military duty personnel and U.S. government employees. The university’s main campus is in Melbourne, Fla.
