Four Florida Tech Students Named Link Scholars

– Four Florida Tech students were selected as Link Scholars for the 2004-2005 academic year. Each will receive a $2,000 stipend, funded by the Link
Foundation.

The 2004-2005 Link Scholars are Yannick Berger, a senior in mechanical engineering from Germany; Toni Francis, a junior in civil engineering from Dominica;
Benjamin Mathieu, a senior in management of information systems from France; and Reshmi Nair, a graduate student in computer science from India.

The scholarships will fund the students’ participation on a project team to digitize portions of the Evans Library’s Edwin A. Link special collection. The
collection includes print articles, blueprints, books, correspondence, maps, newspapers, pamphlets and photographs that reflect the contributions and
interests of Edwin Link. Digitized items will become available to researchers worldwide through an enhanced Web site and bibliography that will be
presented through the Library Information Network (LINK).

The Link Foundation was established in 1953 by Edwin and Marion Clayton Link. The foundation makes grants to qualified nonprofit organizations interested
in the mastery of the air and sea, and the development of energy resources and their conservation, and in simulation and training. The fellowship program
is designed to support graduate education in ocean engineering.
