Freshman JD Davidson Earns Baseball Player of the Week Honors
ORLANDO, Fla. – Tech’s freshman second basemen JD Davidson (Naples, Fla.) receives his first
collegiate honors in a Florida Tech Uniform after hitting safely in every game as the Panthers went 3-1 in the week ending on March 18th.
Davidson for the week drove in a run and scored at least one run in all four games, batted .533 (8-for-15) and slugged 1.067 for the week, while tallying
three doubles, one triple, one home run, four RBI and six runs scored.
In the first game of the week, JD went two for three both for doubles and in the three games at Saint Leo, Davidson batted .500 (6-for-12) with a two-hit
game and a three-hit game to his credit.
JD thus far in his collegiate career is hitting .330 with 29 hits, four doubles, three triples, and two homeruns with a slugging percentage of .511;
Davidson had driven in 19 runs while scoring 21 runs midway through the year.
