Garza Named SSC Runner of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. (Cross Country) – Florida Tech freshman Myles Garza has been named the
Sunshine State Conference male Runner of the Week, it was announced today. In his first collegiate meet, Garza claimed medalist honors, leading the
Panthers to a second place finish at the Florida Tech Invitational.   Garza turned in a time of 25:52.9 to place first among 41 runners in the event.
He is the first Tech runner in more than a decade to complete an 8K course in under 26 minutes.   Next up for the Panthers is the Early Bird Classic,
hosted by the University of Tampa on Friday, Sept. 14.
