Florida Tech Falls To #10 Florida Southern In Three Sets MELBOURNE, Fla.-The Florida Tech Panthers (7-20, 2-8) fell 3-0 to the #10 ranked Florida Southern
Mocs (28-3, 10-2) in Sunshine State Conference action at the Clemente Center this evening. The game scores were 30-22, 30-11 and 30-26.

Two Moc’s hit in double figures for the match. Leading the way for Florida Southern was sophomore outside hitter Beverly Stasis (Clearwater, Fla.) who
notched the game high 16 kills. Stasis also added five digs and four blocks. Freshman middle hitter Danielle Higginbotham (Tallahassee, Fla.) was extremely
effective for the Moc’s in the middle putting up 10 kills with a game high .500 attack percentage. She also put up a solid performance at the net with the
game high seven blocks.

Junior setter Jordan McAfee (Lakeland, Fla.) put up a match high 35 assists for the Moccasins. Freshman Libero Jessie Bowman also had double figures in
digs with ten for the evening.

Despite Tech leading defensively putting up 42 digs to Florida Southern’s 40 digs for the match. The Moc’s out shined the Panthers at the net with 7.0 team
blocks to the Panthers 4.0 team blocks.

Sophomore setter/right side hitter Amanda Boyce (Madison, Wis.) led the Panthers with a team high eight kills for the three sets. Boyce also tallied seven
digs and ten assists. Senior Libero/outside hitter Jenny Hart (Clermont, Fla.) grabbed the match high with 15 digs for the contest.

Offensively, middle hitters junior Jenny McCoy (Titusville, Fla.) and senior Kelly Currin (Waynesville, Ohio) each totaled a .235 hitting percentage with
six kills on 17 attempts.

The Panthers host Eckerd College in a make-up match due to Hurricane Wilma on Wednesday November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Center.
