Gleason Performing Arts Center Joins #LightTheSky Movement to Honor Health Care Workers

Health care workers always deserve praise, but it’s particularly appropriate when National Doctors Day occurs in the midst of a global pandemic. To honor and thank health care workers in a special way this year, Florida Tech’s Gleason Performing Arts Center joined the #LightTheSky movement.

Spearheaded by the entertainment industry, the #LightTheSky movement has people projecting lights into the sky as beacons of hope for those working on the frontline against COVID-19.

The team at Gleason spent a day setting up 40-plus LED lights on Crawford Green. When the sun set at 8 p.m., the team lit up the display for employees at Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center to see.
