Graduates Earn Top Dollar, According to Online Report

MELBOURNE, FLA.—A recent survey, the 2010-2011 College Salary Report published by PayScale.com, places the salaries for Florida Institute of Technology bachelor’s degree graduates at the top of the list for private research universities in Florida.

The study on college graduate salaries ranks Florida Tech graduates’ starting median salaries at $50,700 and mid-career median salaries at $84,500, in first place among Florida’s private research universities.

“Median” is defined here as half of the employees who are graduates of a school will earn more than this salary; half will earn less.

The median starting salary for Florida Tech is confirmed by the university’s own most recent survey of the classes of December 2008 and May 2009. Fifty percent of Florida Tech’s employed respondents noted that they were earning more than $50,000 a year.
