Gulf South Conference Announces Florida’s Space Coast as First GSC-TV Title Sponsor

ESPN3 is the exclusive carrier of the league’s 11-game football package

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference (GSC) is pleased to announce that Florida’s Space Coast is the naming rights sponsor of the 2014 GSC-TV package, which will now be titled the “GSC Football Game of the Week presented by Florida’s Space Coast.”

“We couldn’t be happier to be the first title sponsor for the GSC,” says Rob Varley, Executive Director for the Florida Space Coast Office of Tourism. “We are excited for the exposure this will bring to sports fans across the South about our beach destination packed with adventures and thrills. And we are looking forward to another season of great GSC football.”

The title sponsorship was the product of a collaborative effort between the Florida Tech athletics department and the Gulf South Conference which secured the league’s first-ever, season-long naming rights agreement.

“Florida Tech is proud to have worked closely with the Space Coast Office of Tourism in becoming a new sponsor of the GSC,” says Florida Tech Athletics Director Bill Jurgens. “Everyone who enjoys GSC Football will now know that Florida Tech is located on the Space Coast, known as a beautiful area for tourism and now it will host GSC teams and their fans.”

“The Gulf South Conference is proud to partner with Florida’s Space Coast and its Office of Tourism as the title sponsor of GSC-TV on ESPN3 and our conference basketball championship,” said GSC Commissioner Matt Wilson. “We all know that the South has two great things: college athletics and beaches. This partnership pairs the two in a great way and hopefully begins a long and beneficial relationship.”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of GSC-TV LIVE which kicks off this weekend when No. 5 North Alabama and Mississippi College restart their rivalry on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 8 pm EST. ESPN3 is the exclusive carrier of the 11-game package that can be view at www.gscsports.org/ESPN3 or by using the WatchESPN mobile app.
