Two Florida Tech International Students Are Johnston Scholars

– Two Florida Tech students have earned $2,500 Wilbur Dean Johnston International Student Scholarships. Both are rising seniors with 4.0 grade point
averages. Recipients are Georgi Kalinov Nikolov from Bulgaria, a software engineering major, and Yu-Chang Kuo of Taiwan, a business administration and
management major.

The scholarship was founded by Dr. Mary Helen McCay, Florida Tech College of Engineering research professor, in memory of her father, Wilbur Dean Johnston,
a strong advocate for higher education. The International Student Scholarship Committee selects scholarship recipients. They must be residents of foreign
countries, hold at least a 3.85 grade point average, be full-time students and have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours.
