Heah Coach John Reynolds Reaches 350th Career Win

MELBOURNE, Fla.-The Florida Tech Panthers (12-9, 6-4) defeat the Barry Buccaneers (6-15, 3-7) in women’s basketball action 53-40 in Sunshine State
Conference women’s basketball action at the Clemente Center this evening. Head Coach John reynolds improves his overall career record to 350-191 for a .547
winning percentage and 166-90 in the SSC for a conference winning percentage of .543.

Junior guard Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.) led the way for Tech scoring the game high 15 points going 11-12 from the line. Fellow junior center
Danise Fequiere (Miami, Fla.) chipped in her second double double on the season with 13 points and game high eleven rebounds.

Freshman guard Princess Bailey (Miami, Fla.) going 5-11 from the field finishing with 12 points as the only Buc to score in the double figures.

Defensively junior center Shante Johnson (Orlando, Fla.) continued on her path adding four more blocks to her season tally of 16 blocks leading her team.

Tech started off slow allowing Barry to head into the locker room at the half with a slight lead 22-21. Despite the 22.2% shooting percentage in the first
half, the Panthers managed to crack their offensive slump shooting 50.0% from the field in the second half.

The Panthers won the battle under the glass as well pulling down 41 rebounds to Barry’s 36 for the contest. Tech’s reserves made a big difference in
the  game scoring 28 of their points with the Buc’s bench only adding 15 points.

The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, February 4th down at Nova Southeastern to play in their third SSC game of the week tipping off at 5:30
