Hernandez & Brantley Earns SSC Player of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. (women’s soccer) – Senior Ro Hernandez and freshman Teresa Brantley were named Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week. Both players
helped the Panthers gain 2 wins last week as they gained their first ever win over Lynn University 1-0 and against Palm Beach Atlantic 3-0.

Freshman forward Teresa Brantley (Satellite Beach, Fla.) earned Offensive Player of the Week scoring the loan goal against the Fighting Knights in the
64th minute for the game winner and the teams first ever win over Lynn University. Brantley against started the scoring against Palm Beach Atlantic which
rallied the Panthers to a 3-0 victory. Brantley on the season is leading the team with 8 goals and 2 assists for 18 points which is 5th overall in the
conference.

Senior Ro Hernandez (Mardrid, Spain) earned Defensive Player of the Week as she held down the Panthers defensive line helping record back-to-back
shutout victories for the programs first time ever win over Lynn University 1-0, and a 3-0 run over Palm Beach Atlantic. Ro, despite playing defense has
tallied 5 goals on the year giving her 10 points.

With the win over the Fighting Knights the Panthers earned their first win in the conference putting them at 1-1-2 in the conference and 6-3-3 overall.

These honors give the Florida Tech Women’s soccer team their second and third honors on the year.
