Horst Tabbed SSC Runner of the Week
ORLANDO, Fla. (Cross Country) – Senior Carolyn Salois Horst has been named the Sunshine State
Conference’s women’s cross country runner of the week after a winning performance over the weekend. This is the first time this year and the fourth time in
her career she has received this honor. Horst pulled out a first place finish at Saturday’s Embry-Riddle/Smoothie King Classic, pacing the field
with a time of 20:32 in the women’s 5K race. She finished first out of 94 runners to help Florida Tech to a fourth place showing in the meet. Horst has led
the pack for the Panthers in each race so far this season.
Next up for Host and the Panthers is the Gulf Coast Stampede in Pensacola, Fla., Saturday, Sept. 29.
