Iacobelli Tied for Ninth at NSU Sharks Invite
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Women’s Golf) – After the first round of play at the Nova Southeastern Sharks
Invitational Monday, Daniela Iacobelli sits in a six-way tie for ninth place, shooting a 76 on the par-72 course. Florida Tech finished
the day in 16th overall with a combined score of 357. The Panthers are up against a tough field of golfers in this Fall tune-up,
including seven of the country’s Top 10 Division II teams. Fourth-ranked NSU and second-ranked Rollins are locked up in first, each with team scores of
299, 12 strokes ahead of their next competitor. In addition, the Panthers are getting a good look at their Sunshine State Conference competition as all but
St. Leo are participating in the tournament. Improving on the back nine was Stacey O’Hara who went 40-38 to tie for 17th
overall with a 78 on the day. Rounding out the Panthers is Natalie Kholer with an 87 and Ashley Chastain with a 116.
Play continues Tuesday when the 18-team field will tee off at the Squire Course at PGA National Resort and Spa for the final tournament round.
