Iacobelli Wins St. Leo Fall Invite in Playoff
ST. LEO, Fla. (Women’s Golf) – Florida Tech junior Daniela Iacobelli captured the first place trophy in a
one-hole play-off Tuesday at the St. Leo Fall Invitational after tying Florida Southern’s Kim Ulander with a three-round 218. The win was her first since
claiming the Division II National Championship last spring. Just seven strokes separated the third through sixth place teams and when it was all
said and done, the Panthers finished in that sixth spot with a combined 981. In a race for the title, Florida Southern and Barry each shot a 296 on the
day, though it was FSC that held on to the top spot for the win with an 893. Stacey O’Hara and Nathalie Kohler tied for 18th, carding a
three-round score of 240 on the 5,889-yard par-72 Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, while Ashley Chastain finished with a 283. This tournament
concludes Florida Tech’s Fall schedule. The Panthers will resume action in February, starting with the Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern Feb.
