Tamara Gray Named April MVP

Tamara Gray, administrative assistant III in the College of Aeronautics, has been named Florida Tech’s Most Valuable Panther for April.

In announcing the award, the Office of Human Resources said:

“Tamara Gray has served the Florida Tech community for 28 years with the last 17 years at the College of  Aeronautics. As an Admin III she keeps the college intact and functioning, earning the trust and loyalty of the deans she has served. Over the years she has taken on extra work to help staff and faculty in other departments come up to speed. Tamara is instrumental in the training of new staff members and is the point of contact for student workers at the College of Aeronautics. During the 2020-21 academic year, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with staffing at its lowest, she ensured all students were registered, helped a new dean adjust to the demands of the new position, and navigated the faculty through the evolving COVID-19 logistics. The Panama Program runs smoothly because of Tamara’s work. Her dedication and approachability impact retention and graduation rates, faculty and staff turnover, and the ever-increasing student numbers of the college.

Her impeccable service makes her our Most Valuable Panther. Dr. Korhan Oyman states, “The rock of the college has always been my friend and colleague, Tamara.””
