ITA Southeast Regional Rankings Announced

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Tennis) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released regional
rankings from all over the nation on Saturday, but the region that concerns Florida Tech is the southeast.   The men’s team rated seventh, ahead of
Flagler, Saint Leo and Wingate. Lynn University, Barry University and Rollins College took first through third respectively. In men’s singles, sophomore
Jon Hanna was rated 14th in the region.
Julien Carsuzaa of Lynn, Lorenzo Cava of Lynn and Patrick Rittenauer of Barry rounded out the top three respectively.   Florida Tech women’s tennis
rated one behind the men in eighth, beating out Palm Beach Atlantic and Tusculum. Lynn, Nova Southeastern University and Rollins took the top three spots
respectively. In singles, senior Michaela Horvathova was
listed 15th in the region while Ildiko Csordas of Barry, Senka Softic of Florida Southern and Allison Siaci of Lynn pulled down the top three spots
respectively.   In doubles, the Panthers made a jump. The team of Horvathova and sophomore Natalia Ramos is listed seventh in the region
while Shunk and Weltz of Lynn, Korotkevich and Talalenko of Nova and Csordas and Wershel of Barry filled out the top three teams respectively. Horvathova
and Ramos were placed ahead of Kulichova and Waterman of Nova, Bernal and Junker of Rollins, and Lilien and Petersen of Barry.
