Justin Sedlak Named SSC Mens Basketball Player of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – Florida Tech sophomore forward Justin Sedlak has been tabbed Sunshine State Conference
Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Panthers to a 3-0 start to the season.   Sedlak (Pezinok, Slovakia) averaged a double-double
17.7 points and 14.0 rebounds for the week, adding nine assists, two blocks and five steals during the span. In Tech’s first game of the season, an 89-77
win over Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, he posted a career-high 25 points, adding 13 rebounds. Then, in the 78-61 win against Puerto Rico-Bayamon at Amway Arena
Sunday, Sedlak used an NBA stage to record 22 points and a career-best 17 boards.   Sedlak tallied three assists in all three of Tech’s games and also
had at least one steal in each contest. For the week, he shot 51 percent (19-for-37) from the field, 50 percent (4-of-8) from downtown, and 79 percent
(11-of-14) at the charity stripe.
