Larry Coryell in Concert at Florida Tech

– WFIT 89.5 FM, a service of Florida Tech, and J. Michael Instruments present the Larry Coryell Trio in concert on October 22. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
in the Gleason Performing Arts Center on the Florida Tech campus.

Larry Coryell, fusion pioneer and seasoned musical traveler between the worlds of rock, jazz, classical and Brazilian rhythms, will present a world class
trio in concert. Coryell’s dazzling technique and complex chord structures generate a great deal of heat matched only by his intensity in his playing.

Performing with Coryell will be drummer Paul Wertico who creates a massive drum sound while remaining soulful and dynamic. Wertico will take the audience
to new heights with his eclectic, powerful, stylistically fearlessness and originality on the drums and percussion. He is the drummer for Pat Metheny, Paul
Winter and Kurt Elling.

Rounding out the trio is electric bass legend, Jeff Berlin. He is considered by many to be the finest electric bass soloist in the world. Berlin performs
regularly with Billy Colham, John McLaughlin, Bill Bruford, Arturo Sandoval and George Benson.
