Sunset Jazz Concert Features Latin Jazz Ensemble Akngana

– WFIT 89.5 FM, a service of Florida Tech, and Del Sol Grill, present Sunset Jazz, featuring Latin Jazz ensemble Akángana , with drummer/percussionist
Dimas Sanchez, on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Performing with Dimas will be Orlando Sanchez on conga and percussion, Jorge Santiago-bass, and Mark
Montes on keyboards.

Akángana has delighted and thrilled audiences with their mix of Latin American rhythms and harmonies.

Akángana has been featured on “Emeril Live”; performed at Universal Studios’ Latin Quarter and Orlando ‘s first Latin Jazz Festival as well as other Latin
jazz festivals. The group’s soon to be released CD includes such internationally recognized luminaries as Eddie “Guagua” Rivera and Ed Simon.

Admission is $5 for WFIT members and $10 for prospective members.
